By pushing with power and muscle you allow your opponent to control your entire body. Instead, issue with a rotation and a stretch so that no muscle power is used. This way your opponent cannot use your own energy against you.
Four days workshop: we worked on ensuring evenness of energy in circle and yilu. ‘ Carrying Weight while moving. No light moves! ‘
Stepping exercise to develop ligament strength. Circle shape consists of three segments, only one is moving at a time while maintaining the circular shape.

Hi everybody,
When I recorded this form I was going through my recent Yilu Correction Video by Master Chen only for the first part of Yilu. Actually I wanted to wait for some 100 yilus more before uploading a rec again, but I didn’t have much time to practice recently and the weather was too nice to miss it ;-).
Please feel free to comment, all feedback is welcome.
Performed for students in New Hampshire with emphasis (slow down and stopping) in places where students frequently make mistakes.

- Create the arch in different segments of the body from hand to foot
- Don’t move the hand, stretch the elbow from the hand.
- Always aim at the largest part of the body since we shoot all over the place, and it’s useless. For now, the torso, later the spine, even later something smaller. Read more

In 2009 on Daqingshan, Master Chen Zhonghua instructed me to keep one point on my body stable and fixed during push hands practice. The location of the point was up to me; I could make it be the lower back, rear foot, etc. However, the most important thing was to maintain the integrity and stability of the chosen point. Read more
