You will find local class activities on Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method here.
This is mine. What is yours?
- Continue to watch my masters’ original videos and read their original writings.
- Teach sword and broadsword.
- Stay away from the corruption of the society and of the taiji world. This means I will not copy or forward anything from the web. Every word must come from my heart, from my own experiences and from my own hand.
Practical Method in Toronto is expanding as Steve Man, Master Chen’s Disciple, introduced Practical Method to the Toronto Oriental Centre Taiji Group. In the opening weekend, the 20 new students learned positive circle and the first move of yilu, and there was a lot of excitement as they were exposed to the Steve’s detailed step-by-step instructions.

The event that originally was centered around a push hands workshop featuring Steven Chan has been reduced to an Upper Midwest Get-together hosted by John Upshaw in Iowa City, Iowa. These are great learning experiences that include a lot of sweat, bruises, and push hands followed by good food and great camaraderie. The get-together will start around 1:30 PM on Friday December 7th. There will be more fun and learning opportunities on Saturday and Sunday. If interested give John a call at 1-(319) 404-3962 or email him at johnnyupshaw@yahoo.com

Mr. Du Jianguo, Dean of the physical education college of the Weifang Institute came to visit the Daqingshan International Taiji Training Center with teachers in his department (Wang Dongsheng, Yin Honglan and Qin Zhihua). They spent two day on Daqingshan on this visit. They toured the facilities and participated in the center’s classes.
They invited Master Chen Zhonghua to give a lecture on July 6, 2012 to the students, teachers of their college and martial artists of Weifang.
Did Yilu on the ship while cruising on St Lawrence River. The deck was rocking, the wind was blowing. The condition for Tai Chi was very difficult. I lost balance in the very first a few moves in the first try.
With Master Chen’s permission I’ll be giving a short introductory workshop in Brest, France, hosted by my good friend Erwan Cloarec. I hope to present Master Chen’s approach and give French and Breton practitioners a chance to discover the Practical Method. The French description is below: Read more
