On learning process and emotions

A few weeks ago Master Chen Zhonghua mentioned a lot of important issues according Taijiquan and the learning process, and this was the time when he was about to leave the mountain. Meanwhile he is back again.

One out of many important things he pointed out was that we need to become “a-emotional”, or lets say emotionally very stable, if we want to create peng energy and learn Taijiquan. Read more

Today was Suhels last day, now he is heading back to Berlin. We had a great time together, thanks to everybody for all support. I felt like everybody was supporting each other very much, so although Master Chen Zhonghua was not here on the mountain we did train and learn a lot. Here’s todays grouppicture:

“Don’t Move!” was joined by Carmen Farruggia of Sacramento, CA, USA.

Did Yilu on the ship while cruising on St Lawrence River. The deck was rocking, the wind was blowing. The condition for Tai Chi was very difficult. I lost balance in the very first a few moves in the first try.

Hi everybody,

In the video “detailed instructions” minute 29:50, Master Chen Zhonghua is explaining  a step. Does anyone know how to practice it?

Should I  practice the separation version first? Because, when I step in, there is no dissynchronisation.

Thanks a lot from Germany

Sarah

The sequence of moves in this form is the same as that in yilu. Although our requirements for the movements seem different, I can see that they came from the same root.

I was in Toronto training with some members of the Toronto Practical Method Group & Practical Tai Chi Group. We performed a few Yilu and lots of push Hands. It’s alway nice getting together to train with Taiji brothers from other groups in Master Chen’s Practical Method Taiji Family.
