Nicholas Mann in Guelph, Ontario, has been teaching Tai Chi sessions to participants of Shake True Hoops basketball camps since 2010. These camps run in the summer and during student’s March break. 2. Shifu said that the students who get really good don’t necessarily work hard or can think abstractly. They are humble and really have no ego. Many people believe themselves to be humble but they are not. Shifu said when practicing push hands that it is not “investing in loss” because you always want to gain. Read more

In terms of learning the Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method system, the assumption is that unless you have a special method, you are not learning. You might disagree with this assumption and believe, like many others, that you are learning and making progress. Your beliefs and conclusions are based on criteria that are not taiji, therefore, they are not valid. Read more

Mr. Wang Deyou was born in 1946 in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. He has a bachelor’s degree in science. He currently works as the vice-chief engineer at Xuzhou High Energy Ignition Corp.
He started learning Yang style taijiquan in 1966 and converted to Chen style in 1972. Read more
