My Life Mission & Commitment 我的使命与人生目标:
Alex Marentek is my Full Time Trainer and he has been encouraging all his students to DQS (Da Qing Shan 大青山) in order to sharpen our skills and most importantly to learn & understand the real essence of DQS Culture & Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method from Master Chen Zhonghua & his fellow disciples.
Alex (亚历克斯) 是我要好的教练，他一向来鼓励我到大青山练拳甚至向陈老师拜师。
10 months ago, after getting acquainted with Alex and for the very first time attended Master Chen Workshop (in Jakarta, Dec 2017), I have taken a serious interest into Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method 陈式太极拳实用拳法. Furthermore deep inside I have put 100% faith & believe in this methodology.
起初我是在去年 (2017)雅加达的讲座认识陈老师。我从来没学过内家拳，我对陈氏太极实用拳法也没接触过。我的确是个新手。我这一生学过各种外家拳 (拳击，柔术，印尼席拉武术，菲律宾棍法) 但也未拜过师。但现在我很肯定学陈式太极拳实用拳法是我这下半生的承诺。因为我终于找到我真真想要的拳法。而且我对这拳法有百分百的信心。
As a Chinese Descendant, I greatly believe this Ancient words of Wisdom:
作为印尼华裔，我很相信以下词：
无门无派，随心从缘
(There is no discrimination of styles/techniques in the World of Martial Arts, hence move in accordance with your heart)
世界太极一家亲 (May we stand United Globally in this Taiji Family)
It is my utmost wish to one day be accepted as an inner disciple. And I believe as a disciple, it is my lifelong responsibility to grow and uphold the reputation of Master Chen Zhong Hua and his Chen Style Practical Method in Indonesia and Worldwide.
我真希望有一天成为陈老师的弟子之一。能把实用拳法扩大到印尼四周围各地也是我的荣欣。
From now, I am willing to dedicate 10 years of my life (from now till 2028) to train diligently under the mentorship of Alex and other senior trainers (in DQS and Worldwide) in order to be a well-deserved Apprentice to Disciple of Chen Style Practical Method.
从今，我愿意贡献最少十年的精力和精神苦练在我教练的培养下。
I remembered one of my seniors mentioned “Learning Taiji is a Journey, Not a Destination”. Hence we must develop patience in learning.
我教练有说过，练拳不能急，必须有恒心。我会劳劳记住。
May my hard work, commitment and lifelong dedication to serve as a disciple to Master Chen Zhonghua will be materialised in the next couple of years.

2017：Participated in Indonesia Practical Method Workshop (Serpong, Tangerang) in Dec 2017
2018: Participated in Da Qing Shan 28th Summer Workshop (in August 2018) & Internal Push Hands Competition at Da Qing Shan.
Solo (Central Java), Indonesia Mini Workshop: Sponsored & Assisted Alex to conduct a semi-private mini workshop with PM Solo Branch members. 2 days event (12-13 Oct 2018).
Bogor, Indonesia (Harmony Wushu): Sponsored & Assisted Alex to conduct 1st Bogor mini workshop at Gora’s Harmony Wushu 武馆. 1 Day event (27 Oct 2018)
Bali, Indonesia: Pre-event Workshop Introduction Seminar & Preparation trip. 3 days event (2-4 Nov 2018). Sponsored and Assisted Alex & Ong Wen Ming in giving a free Introductory Workshop session. This event act as an eye-opener for those who are interested to attend the main workshop event in Dec 2018.

2019: 1st Surabaya Special Mini Workshop – Accompanied and Assisted Alex to conduct 1st Surabaya mini workshop for all PM Surabaya Branch Members. 1 Day event (23 Feb 2019). This is a joint sponsored event between Candra Lo (PM Surabaya Branch) and myself.
Participated in Da Qing Shan 31st Summer Workshop (in August 2019)
Participated in Push Hands Competition at the 31st Daqingshan Practical Seminar – 4th In Place 进入四强， 第四名 on 11 Aug 2019
South East Asia & Oceania Taiji Push Hands Competition 2019 (22 November): 1st Place – Gold Medallist (80kg Weight Class).
Participated in Bali, 2019 Practical Method Workshop (23 – 24 Nov 2019)
Courtesy Visit / Cultural exchange on behalf of PM Indonesia to Master Lui Ho of Chen Style Taiji Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur (27-29 Dec)
2020: Brought Alex to Singapore (Jan 2020) on behalf of PM Indonesia for Courtesy Visit / Cultural Exchange with Master Ling Kok Keng (林国庆) of Chen Stye Taiji Singapore. This trip aims to foster a closer relationship and exchange of skills with different schools of Chen Taiji in Singapore.
Hosted Guest Trainer / Coach Ling Zili (Hainan Practical Method & Sydney Practical Method School) for 49 days in Jakarta, Indonesia (31 Jan – 20 Mar 2020). This is by far the longest stay for a Guest Coach in Jakarta. His stay gives us a good opportunity to fine tune & upgrade our skills.
Brought Guest Coach Zili to various training locations in Jakarta:
- Alex’s Training Class in North Jakarta
- Ong Hock Chuan’s Class in South Jakarta – Maverick Studio
- Handoyo’s Class at Serpong, Tangerang & Tomang, West Jakarta
- Semi Private Training at Shinto’s House
- Gora’s Harmony Wushu 武馆 Bogor, West Java
- Daily Evening Training at PM Gold Coast PIK Apartment, North Jakarta.
June 2020 till Present day: Established Practical Method PIK training location at Gold Coast PIK Apartment (North Jakarta, PIK).
To date there are 15 enrolled students (Age range: 16 – 62 yrs). Youngest Female student with No Background in External nor Internal Martial Arts / Taiji. Oldest Male Student with background in Chen Style Taiji and willing to explore deeper into our PM.
