Out with hand no elbow; in with elbow no hand

by Chen Zhonghua Taiji Academy on 2011/11/28

This is one of Grandmaster Hong Junsheng’s favorite sayings. It is a technical principle of his Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method system. By following this principle, many other important theoretical principles will start to manifest themselves eventually. This is the foundation of foundations in this system.

Is that 收肘不收手、出手不出肘?

I can attest to that. I did that for three months in a row and nothing else while I was back in Calgary.

Hi Webmaster,
Do you have Mini Lesson specifically on “Out With Hand In With Elbow: Foundations of foundations”?
If yes, may I have the purchase link? If no, can you make one Mini Lesson on it?

Thanks

Every action in Practical Method has to be that. You can just view Basic Foundations if you need a starting point.

Thank you Kevin. I have purchased basic foundations. Since it called the foundation of foundations, I was looking for some lesson specifically focused on the hand-elbow movement in practical method:-)
