Roy Private lesson review 20201020
foundations corrections; positive circle
– work on developing a 3 count cadence to our PM movements
positive circle beginners 3 count: 1.in with elbow, 2. elbow connects to kua, turn waist, 3. out with hand
– on one elbow in to rib point, on two elbow moves over onto a horizontal plane as waist turns, on three hand pulls elbow away from rib point
– exhaustion may be necessary for physical transformation
– students must stay around long enough to ‘get it’
– work on no outside movement, only inside moves the outside structures, then work on how the outside structures can move/mobilize the internal structures (inside out or outside in)
– important to realize that without proper instruction no genuine transmission of skills is possible, can only be taught, then received as a ‘whole piece’, otherwise its a made up human invention
– anything outside of PM standards is totally made up, invented
– only alien moves are Taijiquan, must be non-human to be Taiji, when its proper its totally unique
– in Taijiquan you can find what you are as a martial artist, very unique art
– real/genuine internal moves conduct energy
– learn to follow opponent and to add one, get into ready position and don’t move
– whatever moves is a release point
– the only move is always one you cannot perform

…learning to live, a breath at a time…
