It was my first workshop in Practical Method and my expectations are totally fullfiled.
Many thanks to Master Chen, organizers and participants.I spent a real nice time in Prague.
For those who alredy started the journey in Practical Method, either by watching videos or by learning the form,with the desire of learning, I strongly recommend attending a whorkshop with Master Chen.
My journey in Practical Method started with Foundations and Detailed Yilu Instructions .
It continued with some videos treating concepts: Zhan Guan, The Tree Rings of Taiji, then the technical videos including all videos from Mini Lesson Videos and Instructional Videos and some Workshop Videos, to get a large picture.The information is vast and you may spent 3 – 4 months watching repeatedly and practicing simoultaneously.You get some ideas but they are still not linked.
For me the key was the encounter with Master Chen.Nothing can be compared with touching and feeling for real the effect of taiji on your body.
Now I know : I don ‘t have any foundations.I just wobble around.Applications with partner do not work ( Lukas knows ).
My intent is to train in basic foundations and then to proceed Yilu like in Hand-Foot Connections.
For those who love to study internal martial arts, Practical Method offers a complete system not only in terms of traditions, method,etc. but also in terms of accesibility.In other words Practical Method offers the posibility to start the study alone and then, the most important feature, the support of Master Chen and the support of the advanced students in Practical Method.
I hope one day Master Chen will come for a workshop in Romania.
