– we must learn to give up everything else in body in terms of movement, only let waist, kua lead everything, all moves must start with dantien/kua
– classes are going to focus on most basic of basics, we are going backwards to more basic movement sections
– moves can be seen, perceived as either a soft rope or as hard stick
– learn how when we let go of the intention the body will return to a ready state
– no power ever in wrist or forearm
– clear movement is hallmark of PM, it promotes power, clarity of movement is opposite of ‘muddy’
– the result of stretching is that body part extends
– learn how to move only the part of the arm from the elbow to the hand, nothing else should move
– eventually the shoulder will be able to add power to the elbow
– switching ‘lead’ is always a physical act, intention alone is not enough
– learn how ‘true intention’ is having no intention
