I learned the Yilu in 2005. It took me approximately nine months to learn it. Back then practicing was maybe once or twice a week. It remained that way for a couple of years. The person that was teaching me decided to stop teaching. At that point I had to make a decision whether I wanted to continue or stop. I had already invested so much time in it and for me it was more of a way of life. So I found other methods of seeking progress in my practice, Such as DVD videos (pause and rewind was tedious), meeting with Levi Sowers, meeting with Tim Duehring, attending more workshops with Master Chen Zhonghua, in training virtually with Kelvin Ho. For the past six to seven years, my Taiji training is daily, sometimes multiple times a day. With the training, my foundations and push hands have made steady progress. However, my yilu has looked unacceptable to me, not representative of the work that I’ve put in…

During this global pandemic, I started participating in on line classes with Master Chen, which in my opinion, I have gained much. Additionally, I started training virtually with Kelvin on a daily basis. As we were talking one morning it became clear to what I need to do to “clean up my yilu”. I get “big picture concepts” and often miss very small subtle details, which come to me here in there. Kelvin on the other hand, is very good with details. During one of our morning chats we agreed upon him correcting my yilu one posture at a time. In this first video you can see the amount of details that were added to my first posture. Several of the stretches I was unaware of. That has stayed consistent through the other postures that we have covered.

For the first time, I posted my full Yilu on line. I titled it “The Yilu Project: PM 2020” on the Practical Method Website. I have every intention to use this opportunity to make substantial progress. I have proven the ability to put in the work and Kelvin is committed to see me through this journey. I hope you join us and watch the transformation from beginning to end. I will be posting sections or the entire form every 2 to 3 months to measure progress. It will be an exciting and challenging endeavor.

Kelvin, when i initially tried to buy the video, your system took money from my web dollar balance without giving me access to the video. This happened twice. That is, i’ve paid twice but still no video.

i haven’t tried since you fixed things, but can you refund me my web dollars please.
