Which video do I download

by bizlizz on 2018/02/21

I have just joined this site after 12 years of practicing chen style Taiji. I have been following shifu Chen Zhonghua for the past year on youtube but now would like to download some of the most informative videos but there are so many of them. Can someone recommend the best videos for me to download.

Many thanks guys

Katharine

The videos in the starting guide were helpful http://practicalmethod.com/online-students-starting-guide/

Other than that, I recommend some of the seminar videos. They generally cover a lot of material.

This would be my getting started list…. even if you come from a taiji background like I did for 20 some years before I started learning from Master Chen, these were the videos that helped me the most I think, to get my foot in the door so to speak. Of course there are alot more, and if you run out I can recommend some others. As far as Workshop series, the Series from Canberra is really excellent, I think there are 7 videos. Master Chen covers a lot of really important material in those. But there are lots of workshop series that are excellent. I think that is just my current favorite, maybe. Personally I like to watch them as if I am there. We are heavily encouraged to take notes. I usually watch each video three times. Once to get a general impression. Then again to take some notes. The third time through I try to write a review if possible. Very helpful for retaining the material, and reviewing and posting here, I think helps the website to grow. If you have time and the inclination. Also it’s nice to be able to go back and read your thoughts as you grow and develop, you will see how your understanding develops over time.
