This video should be on the recommended list, its quite essential for everyone.
I’d say its probably at least 3/5 refering to the circle part, either way its a must have, whatever you are doing with Taiji.
It is a very good video explains why we need to stretch in taiji.
Hi
This is one of the best Tai Chi videos that I saw on youtube, just because an advanced exponent of the art expose himself saying that his own Tai Chi practicing progress is gradual (and not perfect) and one must surpass ourselves everyday. This is the must basic lesson to have- a “beginner’s mind” and the one that the so called nowadays” masters” seems to forget.
Good Work!
Shfu Chen spends the first 5+ minutes on a rare, complete, detailed, clearly captured instruction on the positive circle. That alone makes this video worth adding to your collection. The rest of the video is a discussion on the lengthening of the muscles and turning habits into responses. Lengthening the muscles is not a metaphor, we create a state where as the muscles are stretched they become much stronger. In standing, this is how we naturally keep our balance, but this can be applied to all parts of the body with Taijiquan.
This is an essential video. More than taji concepts. Life concepts are inherant in this lesson for good human growth. Most importantly a lesson for grasping taiji concepts.
