Master Chen Zhonghua’s Phoenix Workshop
October 15 (Tuesday) to 18 (Friday)

Tentative schedule for October 15, 16, and 17:
6:00-8:00am, morning group class, North Mountain Park, Phoenix
$120 for all 3 days; $50 pay by the day.

8:00-9:00am, breakfast ($5 if you want to join us)

9:00am-noon, Master class (9:30-10:30 & 11-noon) at Ping’s home

noon-1pm, lunch ($10)

1-6pm, Master class (1:30-2:30; 3-4; 4:30-5:30)

6-pm dinner ($15, more if we go to a restaurant.)

Master Chen is scheduled to teach the workshop in San Francisco area on October 19 weekend. I don’t know when Master Chen will leave Phoenix on the 18. If he has a few hours in the morning, I will add a morning group class, and a couple of private lessons if possible.

Only 5 master classes are scheduled per day. Total 15 master classes in 3 days. If I receive more master class requests, I may have to change the schedule to accommodate more people.

Master class is $150 each. Other people will observe your class; you can also watch other people’s classes.

You can get your own Master class video (raw/without editing) if you bring your own external drive.

Morning group class is added per previous participants’ suggestions.  Morning classes are mixed levels. Topics varies from foundations to Yilu to push-hands.

If you have some ideas and suggestions, please share with me. I will do my best to help your learning at Master Chen’s workshop.

The October, 2013, workshop in Phoenix was the first time I met Chen ZhongHua. In every way it was the best workshop I have ever attended (and I’ve been to nearly a hundred over the last 35 years). Ping Wei made sure we had total contact with him the whole time and Ping’s students couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. Chen’s method is completely different from anybody else’ I’ve seen. I think it’s correct and I look forward to the results of practicing the foundational exercises. Thank you, Chen, for being so open and generous to a rank beginner. I hope to see you again soon.
