Question on the elbow

by Allan Haddad on 2012/04/19

Master Chen,
I am starting to feel something new.  It’s related to the post on the “Sweet Spot”.  Is it possible to initiate movement or generate power from the elbows?  I cannot differentiate the difference yet.  Based on which one is coming in, I feel something of series of related movements from say R elbow right down to the points where my R foot touches the ground.  So much so it’s a rather intense pressure that is screwing into the ground through that foot, then somehow that hole established line gets filled with that pressure.
Nothing as profound yet for hand out motion i.e. the rear side.  I find this the most difficult aspect of both circles.

In plain words, the “sweet spot” is the coordination spot. As there are always two fixed spots in action. The spot in between the two that best manipulates the two is the “sweet spot”.
Yes, elbow can be used to generate power.
