Today after hard work this morning, 9 participants working with Master Allan Belsheim have completed a lengthy Silk Reeling warm up followed by a few Foundation moves, Yilu with some corrections (one was individually correcting from the last single whip to the end of the form) and an introduction to Chen straight sword
with some detailed explanations. Two sword applications were tried using our patented “waxwood whacking swords”. Then we broke for lunch quite tired and hungry.
After lunch we concentrated on Erlu or Cannon Fist after doing an exercise to relax and then add energy to help revive us for more hard work ahead. Cannon Fist was approached from the end first using numerous breakdowns of the moves before combining them into a sequence. Then we started from the beginning completing a few moves at a time with many repetitions. The students responded very well and I was extremely happy to see their progress.
We now have more of the same to work on tomorrow with extra work on Foundations, Broadsword, more Yilu and, of course, to fill in the middle of Cannon Fist in the afternoon.
Thanks to all who participated: Jan, Blake, Chris, Rion, Yasuko, Jean, Andy, Ming Yee and for a brief time Scott.

Sounds like a good day, I hope everything is well in Edmonton!
Thanks Allan, today was an excellent day! I found all the corrections very helpful, and going through the cannon fist routine beginning and end was great.
