The taolu this man is demonstration here for me is very interessting. It is very similar to our form, coming from the lineage Chen Fake – Xiao Qinglin – Xiao Jimin, but there are also strong elements of what I’ve only seen in Practical Method (e.g. first move, stepping).

Master Li Chu Gong studied from Grandmaster Hong, so his yilu is practical method style.

Thanks. July should be OK with me. I will be on Daqingshan till July 23 and will return to DQS before August 9th. I between I have to come back to Canada for a one week workshop in Edmonton.

The curriculum will be Practical Method Yilu, Cannon Fist, Push Hands, Sword and Broadsword. Exactly how much of that will be covered during July I cannot say for sure. At least the basic choreography will be taught.

July will be very hot on DQS already. Training will be early in the morning before breakfast for two hours and then after supper for two hours. During the day, there will be a outdoor and indoor work area for full time students to practice, read, etc.

Accommodation will be based on double occupancy. Three meals a day and the hotel room has bathroom, air-conditioning, TV, internet connection, etc.

Nice gongfu. Looks like a brother to practical method. BTW, why do people love to demo tuishou applications from peng exercise so much?
