by Pawel Mueller on 2020/07/27

It’s the fourth year since we started the European Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method Meet-Up Series. It continues this year close to Żywiec, Poland on September 12/13th. This years host is Damian Jagosz, who is a very dedicated student of our style.

4th European Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method Meetup. This year in Żywiec, Poland.

4th European Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method Meetup. This year in Żywiec, Poland.

Everyone interested in Taijiquan is welcome. There will be enough instructors to lead beginners classes as well as more advanced training. Through practicing together, many questions we have can be answered.

In Hong Junshengs Book, Translated by Master Chen Zhonghua there is this poem:

…You also need
To have good friends
With friends
You can help each other
                                                         Hong Junsheng from Learning

This is basically what this meetup is about.

Let’s practice together!

This usually sounds easy, but this year is special. We will of course take necessary steps to protect us against covid-19. Since movement and outdoor activities strengthen the immune system, practicing Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method is a good way to keep us healthy.

Rough Schedule

During the last view Meet-Ups we figured out, that it would be best, to stay together in one place. This way nobody has to leave and we can continue to practice and to exchange up until late.

This kind of staying together is also very deep in the polish tradition. So Damian will pick a place where we can be together and continue our exchange during a campfire and while watching the same stars that Chen Fake watched during his training.

Friday evening:

Get-Together in Żywiec to get to our secret training camp.

     Daqing Shan training schedule:

We are pretty sure that such a get-together will boost our understanding by lightyears.

There is no fee for this event, but we will share the costs among all participants equally. If we are 30 people the costs per person will drop below EUR 20,-

Registration is done simply by emailing us to

If you are not from Europe you can join anyway, of course 🙂

Stay tuned to get updates on the exact location and pick-up service.

ohh yeah: If you are not sure whether to participate or not, here’s a pro tip: Simply DO IT!

About Pawel Mueller

I'm a guy with many hobbies and interests, but since I came across Taijiquan it became my anchor in life. I was always interested in martial arts, but Taijiquan felt for me like finding the second matching sock in a messy underwear drawer in the morning after you overslept a little, but need to be on time for an important appointment. Having been to Chenjiagou (the Chen Village) for 3 times now, staying almost 4 weeks every time and practicing in Vienna with my former teacher the decision of switching after 4 years of hard work wasn't easy... But I learned so much, it was really worth every pain my ego had to take because of the switching to PM. I feel as if I left a muddy bumpy road and finally reached the highway. So I'm about 100 miles into the PM highway and there are (I don't know) about 40,000 to go. I'm curious where this will lead to, but I'm positive that I'll enjoy the trip.
