Here we can see Master Chen in 3D. Some people commented on recent yilu that Master Chen rear knee being collapsed. Looking only in 2 dimension, it is easy to get the false impression of knee moving side to side.

If you look at the point with is nearer to the kua, you can see that it is actually rotating. If you draw a line from the kua to the knee to the heel, you will see the entire leg is rotating at the kua.

If you look at the torso as a cylinder rotating one direction, and everything in front of the kua is rotating another direction as if on a separate cylinder. visualize a demarcation line (vertical axis) in the center of the shoulder and kua. there actually is no dot, (blue or red) marked on the non moving part. it’s in center of the joint. watch the front shoulder slide down that vertical axis ‘seeking the kua’ as the two cylinders rotate there is a three way split. also looks like a very efficient way to pull water up from a well hand over hand using rotations…also if you imagine a rope where the water would be being pulled up you see that line interacting with the torso cylinder…wrapping around it….. it’s a spiral!!!

A bit off topic, but I would really love to see the first 13 steps of Yilu in this 3d X-Ray format. Anything like this in the works?
