That is a fantastic lesson. Thank you so much! The discussion on proportionality is incredibly helpful and the clarity on the need to differentiate isolated movements vs whole body power makes so much sense. May I ask is the elbow aiming at the front of dan tien (qi hai)? or is it aiming through to the rear heel (or arch)? I’m not clear exactly what it should be aiming at as it curves in?? Also…. just wanted to mention the seek ahead server is wonderful…great to be able to jump around freely in the video.
The elbow must move in a curve around the spine vertical line according to the need of the particular action.
Oh so it’s not a fixed spot but depends on the orientation towards the opponents line?
Or away from the opponent’s line.
