taiji brothers visit daqingshan

[singlepic id=3735 w=150 h=150 float=left]for the week-long national holiday, i took the opportunity to take a break from my studies in beijing and visit daqingshan. even though master chen was not there, the memories of my two summers training on the mountain were still fresh in my mind and inspired my training every day.

my fellow taiji brothers sun jian and zhu dongsheng came from linyi to visit me for a day, and we had a great time training together, pushing hands, showing each other our forms, and discussing our experiences and perspectives on training. they’ve both improved a lot over the past year, hopefully they may say the same about me too! many thanks to master chen for allowing the trip and reunion to happen [nggallery id=140]

About charlie gordon

I started studying Chen Style Practical Method with Gordon Muir in Victoria in 2007. After attending a few workshops with Master Chen Zhonghua, in 2009 I decided to go to Daqingshan for 3 month full time training. After the summer I stayed in China another 6 months studying Mandarin and training with Master Sun Zhonghua in Beijing.

I am very happy you made the trip, Charlie. Indeed this is why I set up the Daqingshan Mountain Resort for Taiji. Hopefully in the future it will be a center for all taiji practitioners to meet to relax and to do taiji.

I was planning to visit the mountain for a few days but couldn’t make the trip owing to my mother’s illness. I am sick and tired of the city life of “prosperity” and really enjoy the restoration of body and mind on the mountain. There will be other chances to make the trip.
