This video is important as it shows how to circumvent the opponent’s line of power, how to adhere so that the opponent is unable to separate and thus unable to power up, and why one should always sink the shoulder.
New trailer showing the relationship between space and power.
Although mostly in Chinese, this one has detail subtitle and clear explanation. The key points are the importance of creating space and separation during push-hand while at the same time (aim at) preventing opponent’s attempt to create his own separation, as such, with this disruption the opponent cannot power up.
According to master Chen – the art of fighting is to create separation, and sticking is “refuse to be separated”.
