Everyone talks about the sweet spot in push hands. But where is it and how can one find it in push hands? In this video, Master Chen Zhonghua and Richard Johnson try to demonstrate the spot (dot) while pushing hands with each other. The push hands session does not imitate a real fighting situation. It only puts the two people in a situation where they can look for the magic dot in the opponents body.

A very good idea to add these explanation to the push hands situations.
This helps to get a better view for what is going on. Thanks a lot !
This is the most difficult and most advanced Tai Chi skill. That separates Master Chen from other Tai Chi “masters”.
Nice clips. the more and more i watch it, i get a better understanding.
I start seeing, that the arms never move but the center first.
where the mind goes, the qi goes. This seems so simple yet is so very difficult since there is a tendancy to freeze because of contact with the other person. How to keep relaxed and yet alert? It is such a paradox.
wow.. $1 for this is a gift to the viewer
This was the first time we recorded my pushing hands with Shifu Chen. Believe it or not, I had done pretty well pushing hands with other people. Some of the pushes are just to see how much pressure Shifu Chen could take.
This is really interesting as an instructional video. My structure is very easy to analyze. It is tempting to watch me and try to locate the dot or point that he is going to use. I eventually started watching Shifu Chen and imagining how it would feel to do what he is doing but not doing it. This was quite informative.
