This an excellent instructional video on anchors, midpoints and alignment strength. Extra insight is provided on how to anchor the hand and align midpoints (elbow, shoulder and hip) to create maximum power. I highly recommend this video for all students.
Thanks Matt Landau for the recommendation; bought the short clip because of it. Totally agree. Critical detailed explanation of how and why aspects of “getting stuck” in order to enable a third point to get into proper position. A platinum nugget. Highly recommended.
This is a MUST agn! I never quite understood how by just moving/stretching the fingers, the opponent is dislodged! In this video, Master Chen explained very clearly that once we move into correct alignment with the opponent, moving our fingers is enough to disbalance the opponent! Thanks, Master Chen, for clearly demonstrating what you teach!
So much valuable information in a 3 minute clip! This video explains anchor points, getting “stuck”, midpoints and proper alignment. It also provides a simple way to test your own alignment which I have found extremely useful. Another must see mini lesson.
