This is an essential video for anyone who wants to get a better understanding of Taiji’s ” explosive power ” ( Fa Jin ). To me, it is a prime example of a topic that Taiji is famous for but is rarely explained. Master Chen not only demonstrates the difference between ‘ normal ‘ power and ‘ fa jin ‘ , but allows his students to feel the difference in being on the recieving end of it, and allows them to feel how he is producing it on his body. This is coupled with an explanation of the theoretical principles and methods, in order to gain comprehension of exactly what standards must be met in order to gradually gain understanding. Specialized Taiji language is also given to convey deeper meaning. I also would recommend: “Energy and Shape” Online video for further instruction…..
