Good video. A lot of principles we need to cover in Yilu, stretch to become bigger, longer in order to switch, rotate in one piece from the bottom… Thanks for sharing.
At the Week long Seminar in Edmonton (June, July 2013), Grandmaster Chen corrected the Yilu form of 4 students. Each correction was incredibly dedicated to main principles, but included a sense of what each student needed to focus on. The collection of these videos with Carlos and Camille released first are very necessary viewing and give excellent help even beyond the Detailed instruction and Energy Alignment series. There is a great interaction with each student so a comparison of what we need to do is physically there with Grandmaster Chen’s demo and comments. Get and view these videos!
1) 6.06 – In order to turn left to step up, if someone is preventing you to do that by pressing your chest, you need to stretch to rotate around it.
2) 9.24 – Every move needs to become longer.
3) 22.14 – “Bei Jie Kou” – Lock the left knee. Lock the right wrist, right shoulder, and right kua, and stretch them against the fixed left knee. The demarcation is on the left kua.
