Arrived this afternoon with Kham Serk from Edmonton. We went for supper at a typical little Chinese restaurant near the train station. Cost 45 yuan for both of us! It’s fairly hot here already and it is hazy and humid. We are trying to stay up till 9:00pm to combat jet lag! Hope this reaches our friends outside of China.
Arrived in Beijing!

Went near the train station last night with Kham Serk. Had green beans and chicken with Chinese dried mushrooms. Very good but not as good as what we cook on Daqingshan.
Nothing is as good as Daqingshan food, although Suzhou espresso was very welcome! I’m in Scotland with family and will be teaching in France tomorrow. Please give me best to Steve.
