Buying access means that you will be able to view the video online (if you are a registered user). It will be placed in a personal online folder called ” My Folder” for you to access.
If you buy access and DVD it means a hard copy of the DVD will be sent to you, AND you get to view it instantly online in ” My Folder”. This saves having too wait patiently for the mail to come and can be viewed anywhere there is a computer using your registered log in. Of course the DVD can be viewed on DVD players and computers. This is a great opportunity to obtain practical Method DVD’s for education and learning.

“There are no excuses for a lack of growth…learning opportunities are available if sought…and practiced diligently…”

For those of us that are geographically restricted from attending regularly scheduled Practical Method classes, the videos offered by Master Chen on this website are an essential component of my taiji practice. I count on them for my continual growth. The videos are complimentary with the workshops offered by Master Chen, practice sessions with his disciples and with the other Chen Style Taijiquan practitioners who I share this journey with, and daily independent practice. The videos have allowed me to identify the subtle movements that I missed when learning the choreography of the yilu. The Energy Alignment series has been one of the most crucial components that assisted me in moving from the external to the internal aspect of this ancient art that I am proud to be a part of. The videos of his workshops have allowed me to continually absorb the complexities of this art through his interactions with the workshop participants…nothing compares to being in the presence of Master Chen, however, it most definitely acts as a supplement.

Excellent manner of breaking down the inner mechanisms/complexities. Unfortunately, on this last of the 4 Energy Alignment online videos, it consistently clips off at 38.41 right in the middle of a really good run through of some core rules one should adhere to. Is there any way of accessing the last minute I am missing? Otherwise, Chen Zhenghua is a well I intend coming back to again and again for more sustenance, well done.

There is an excellent lecture at the end of this video. Even if you are not far enough in the form to use the energy alignment details of the final postures, the lecture at the end is well worth watching, so its information can start to seep into your practice.

After many trials to discover what lies behind the peng I want to try this analogy.
The structure foot – hand on the “out with hand” is an archery bow.
The sustaining line is the cord of the bow.
In order to increase the distance between two ends of the bow, you must press the bow towards the line, while one end is fixed on the ground and the other is pressed by the opponent.
The human bow is composed of multiple sections.
The peng energy results when these sections are head to head, each section being pulled towards the line and in the same time each section is slightly rotated spirally – one way from the center towards the hand, the other way towards the foot.
A complicated bow is resulting.
The power lies in precision (to construct the bow) , in pulling the joints towards the line and in the fixed rear foot.
The elongation of the bow is not linear but like many screws(each section is a screw on the joint) which open instantly very fast.
The power is increased in this way.On a high level this structure vibrate from the center like a guitare cord. The generated power is like an explosion.
It is high engeeniring on the human body.

The last section Sifu Chen explains and demonstrates joint alignment concept thoroughly. However, the nearly last part (38.30) cannot be played, it ‘d be great if you can fix it.
