You can not move the, crucial, coalition of the two main axis’. This video made that clear to me and, in addition to Master Chen’s lessons, stimulated me to get rid of tossing. The mysterious dot becomes something rational, mathematical and measurable. Still difficult enough though.

Those who want to start practice Practical Method should watch this video!

This video teaches us one of the most fundamental requirements in Practical Method. You can immediately tell if one is practicing Practical Method by this.

Master Chen told us in Practical Method, a “taiji movement” must have a Ying-Yang separation. Ying and Yang means 2 properties that are opposite to each other, Which means they have a “relationship” of being opposite. On an object, in regards to movement, ying-yang separation means that 2 parts on the same object need to move in the opposite direction.

And that basically means a rotation.

To imitate a rotation with our body, we have to have a not moving point as a pivot.

1:22 Master Chen demonstrated how a positive circle with a “not moving point” looks like. And 1:39 he demonstrated a positive circle without a “not moving point”.

This point also acts as a demarcation to separate the space around it into different dimensions. As long as this point is not moving, the power will travel between different dimensions as you do movements. It is one of the properties of a rotation(Ying-Yang separation).
