Thank you Master Chen! These are indespensible lessons to understand how the Taiji body is created and used in push hands. Very thorough explanations of how physical manipulation of the kua, not only creates stabilization and transmits power through the body, but ultimately gives the ” Dantien ” a place to form and drop into. It brings a lot of clarity to the idea of “sink the chi to dantien”, an internal expansion that allows the physical center of gravity to drop without actually moving downward.

Very helpful instruction on dantien as center, vs. functional kua (hinge) axis as center, as well as maniupulation of space to achieve Yin/Yang separation.

It also really started to make the idea of multiple incremental levered actions (rotations) together, create a three dimensional circle or sphere.

The idea that the size of an internal practitioners movement must be equal to the size of an external practitioners movement, but remain hidden inside the body is a revelation. Very deep but clear and practical instruction! Lots to work on thank you!

This is another one of those essential videos for anyone interested in Taiji, clears up a -lot- of heated topics, and gives clear demonstrations on the first few Yilu moves, plus explains a lot of things in them, in depth.

Really liked the Kua part, reminded me to always keep the buttock from protruding at any time. 🙂

Really good video.

Although I own many videos of Master Chen’s teachings, I am very pleased to add this video to my collection. Vital information on many key points. Some of the explanations by Master Chen were very helpful in clearing up confusion in my mind about certain aspects of the yilu and the theory behind it. Regardless of how much video material a student might already have of Master Chen’s teachings, this video would be of great value to a student of any skill level.

Wow, this is the best and most informative video series I’ve seen, a true wealth and jewel of information, totally opened my eyes and shed light on the details of what I’m supposed to be doing and why I’m supposed to be doing it!
