Zoom review 20201028
– making movement totally in line with gravity is not moving according to PM principles
– learn and practice drills that emphasize body separation
– should do upwards of 100 reps of drills of this type daily
– learn how to ‘go over’ and practice many times the wiggle of going over
– try doing Yilu as if you didn’t need any horizontal space, try to stay in a vertical column
– learn how to ‘go over’ with as many body parts as possible, but minimally must be able to perform with both shoulders and both kua
– every move with these body parts should ‘go over’
– learn to exaggerate movements of waist & kua, move them in bigger ranges of motion during training drills
– in PM system of training must have 3 things: 1. correct teaching, 2. work on taught moves with exaggerated ranges of motion to train outside in, 3. learn to do it repeatedly, be able to replicate exact movements at any time
– exaggeration of ranges of motion helps to ‘grind’ out kinks in joints
– learn to ‘issue’ from rear part of the body to control people’s bodys
– learn to recognize and use the points of demarcation, as places of intention in correct movement
