My garden loves Taiji practice
i get to admire it then
catch stunning glimpses of orange
squash blossoms
bulging purple tops of turnips
bees in the fireweed blossoms
when i need a break between Yilus
i nibble sweet juicy peas or spicy arugula
thin a row of carrots or beets
wonder at the profusion of life
so fresh, patient, fragrant
all it took was dirt, a digging fork, some seeds
light, rain, time
