[nggallery id=126]

Very good notes. Reading them in Chinese gives me a different perspective to think about.

I have a question regarding the “Single whip” stance in photograph # 11. In the Yang Style that I am learning, we tend to “square” the hips, unlike this stance where the right hips or kua is open.
From a health as well as a martial arts prespective what are the benefits.

I want to keep learning with “an open mind”, and as always I have the greatest respect for Master Chen, his art and his style of teaching -although I haven’t met him personally, nor tried the Chen Style practical method- which I hope will happen soon.

Thank You

Ron, it is hard to give reason for the pose without explanation on the move before and after that, are you familiar with Master Chen youtube channel, you can watch practical method yilus there and see this pose in context http://practicalmethod.com/2010/09/youtube-wall/
