Maple Ridge December 2010 Workshop

by Wilkin Ng on 2010/12/19

In this workshop, we did a lot of application from yilu moves. Master Chen said that in push hand there is always moment where a move from yilu is applicable. The problem for students is that we haven’t practice yilus enough to be able to make this correlation from form practice to push hand application.

For me, it is an eye opener when Master Chen show how a move like “Brush the Knee”  can be used. Practicing this move on other students and failing, makes me aware how it worked and how I can improve my form so I can do it next time.

It was another great workshop. I enjoy seeing the applications of the movements from Yilu, I feel it helps me to better understand Yilu.
Regards.
